Marwood Worn By: Prince Harry

As you can imagine, we were pretty excited to spot our Marwood slub silk tie in burgundy on Prince Harry at the Commonwealth Service that he attended with Meghan Markle at Westminster Abbey last week. Looking perfect for the occasion, Harry wore his tie with a crisp white collar, we assume to be Turnbull & Asser and a navy worsted wool suit.
Our slub silk tie range has always proved a popular choice, with many returning customers who like the colour level of the silks and the texture of the slub yarns - creating a more relaxed, informal take on a silk tie. The silk is woven especially for Marwood at a historic silk mill in Suffolk, who produce an exceptional standard of cloth. The fabric is then sent to a skilled workroom in Kent, who make the product by hand.
It's quite nice to be commenting on what the men wore for the occasion, rather than the women!

Prince Harry's Marwood tie: Made in England
Shirt image borrowed from Mr Porter who used to sell this style.
The fabric used for Prince Harry's Marwood tie, woven in Suffolk and made in England. The slubby nature of the fabric makes this tie less formal and gives textured interest to the surface.
